the chaos and the calm

People ask me why I practice Yoga.

And I've often struggled with an answer, up until now.

We practice for times like these.

"Practice for the times that you will need to remember that light illuminates everything." Tracee Stanley

When the world is crumbling and everything we once did that made us feel like home, has been taken away (connection, social gatherings, dancing together, walking on the beach with our family etc) the slow creep, (or in COVID 19's case), the sudden slide into anxiety and fear can take our breath away, literally.

So, with nothing more than that, here are the practices that I believe (and know have helped me) will help ease some of the breathlessness, pain and dispair you may be feeling.

I hope they help, .

Welcome

to the rituals and routines in the times of TURBULENCE that can be a steady anchOR

From an eastern perspective, whether it's Chinese Medicine or Ayurveda, we are not separate from nature or each other.

We are one and the same, and living by and with the seasons has been part of life for millennia.
Ritual and routine have been a part of life as a way of navigating change and giving tools to steady and space ourselves and from a Yogic perspective , routine especially with breath and meditation is the one thing that is said to be non-negotiable.

MOVE || BREATHE || CONNECT || INTEGRATE || REST ||
Each day, do something that gives you movement, connects you to breath, allows you integrate and to REST.

NADHI SHODHANA - a pranayama for Balance, Space and Focus

Nadhi Shodhana, is known as Alternative Nostril Breath. But is more accurately a breath practice in which you are purifying and cleaning the systems of your body, creating more Space You breath alternatively through each nostril and is the perfect breath to balance both your physical systems, helping to strengthen your lungs AND your energetic & Nervous systems.

Sama Vritti literally means evening out the fluctuations of the mind. Our breath is a direct reflection of the state of our mind and our nervous system.
By slowing down and evening out our breath, we can calm our whole body and its system.

A steadying, calming breath for anytime, anywhere.

Do you offer A Single ONe2One Private Session?

Yes I do, I understand that some people want to for a variety of reason have just a single session. However, I prefer to work with students over a 6 -8 Week Period. Yoga isn’t a one off thing. It takes more than 1 session to connect.

I am committed to healing and diving deeper, but financially am not able to afford the price, Can you help?

For SURE. I offer concession rates or a payment plan if that helps . Contact me for more details.

I don't live in Alice Springs, can we still do Private One2 One sessions or the Group Mentoring ?

YES! I offer the Private Therapeutic sessions via ZOOM for anywhere in the world. If you’re signing up for my Group Mentoring Program, that is ALL Online.

I have never done Yoga Before, will the Private Sessions be okay for me?

Totally, in fact its a great place to start. We start exactly where you are and then build from there.

I don't have internet can I still do it?

The Private Sessions and Group Mentoring really do require an internet connection. If you don’t have access to the internet, please contact me. We CAN work things out so that you’re able to begin your Inner Revolution.

You can access some meditations on the Community Resources Page that you are able to download to start our yoga journey.

I’m not flexible, I can’t touch my toes, I can’t do Yoga?

You’ve missed the point. Yoga is about an experience, a state, a feeling. Its about coming home, probably the toughest thing ever for most of us. Its got a lot less to do with the postures, and more about the awareness. Sure we use postures to shift energy and I teach in a way that will slowly strengthen and re-connect you to your body. Yoga is for EVERY body and EVERy one.
