REDUCTION  & UNWINDING

UNWIND :: EMPTY :: CLEANSE :: RINSE
So we begin.

SUGGESTED STRUCTURE FOR DAY 1.

Morning Practice :

7am ( or your chosen time - try to make same time each morning)
* A morning Flow of Your Choice ( Choose the 1 Hour Session or Shorter Version)
PLUS
* Mantra/Pranayama/Meditation
AND
* A Yoga Nida any time.

Evening Restorative : 5pm or Later Before Bed is Great say 9pm

We will Invoke and chant the Mantras of Shiva and Ganesh.

Honouring first this never ending cycle of death, birth, sustaining and death again ( Shiva)
Followed by invoking the remembrance that WE are all we need, we have all we need within us
AND
therefore we have the power to remove and clear away those things which keep us from evolving. ( Ganesh)

THEN

Get steady and seated and Begin to BREATHE.

EVERY breath is a chance to Rinse yourself out. To clear away. It is the simplest yet most powerful way to change the state of our energy.

ENERGY B4 Matter.

If we remind ourselves that we can, with each breath, Take with us what we need and leave behind what's ready to go, we can see each breath, each moment as a change to clear away and make room to expand int our life that is to come.

Picture
Begin with some journalling

Journalling especially as a Stream of Consciousness way, where you write non-stop whatever comes out for 2 mins, is a way to clear out the junk and outer layers of the mind and day.
It enables that state or quality of mind that is required to come out of the Dark Moon and into the new moon with more clarity of where you might be heading.

~

Close your eyes and rest in your breath. Allowing the answers to these questions, the words to come out and be written uncensored and without judgement.

1. Stream of Consciousness: What is true for me right now? 2 Mins

2 Scan your body, where are you holding tension? What might you need to unwind? What might i be ready to release and empty out?  2 mins

2. If I unwound, released and emptied out, what might I become?

3. What is holding me back from unwinding ? 2 Mins

Morning Session

We will work deeply with the breath to clear out and dislodge what's keeping us from expanding and transforming into the light.

Choose to either complete the Full 1 Hour Session or the shorter 15 Mins session.

CLICK HERE FOR DAY 1. Full 1 Hour SESSION

A Shorter 15 Min Morning Flow to clear and cleanse your body, energy and spirit.

Using the breath as constant rinsing out and clearing out of what no longer is needed and what is getting in the way of your exhale.

When and How to Do it?
I recommend completing the Yoga Nidra Daily, at least 1 hour after a meal.

You can do it morning or afternoon, but not just before bed as you don't want to create the pattern of always falling asleep.

Make sure you are warm and comfortable and only a light covering over your eyes.

Be aware that it is a deep practice and with any practice like this, there is potential for it to awaken, bring up or cause feelings, emotions to come up AND also for physical sensations to happen ( I have often experienced shaking/Nausea/tingling and more)

PLEASE contact me to discuss any thing that concerns you at all.

Yoga Nidra ~ योग निद्रा)

Yoga Nidra has gained much popularity over the last decade, with many intricate scripts of guiding people into complicated journeys and quests.

The tradition I am training in is from the Para Yoga Tradition (my teacher @Yogarupa Rod Stryker) as taught to him my his trader Panjdit of the Himalayan Institute.

It takes a Very Simple and more subtle approach, with more depth and power and a deeper way of learning.

HISTORY
In the oldest, classical scriptures, very little is explained about the methodology, but much was written about the "State"

Essentially, Yoga Nidra is the state you reach when you enter the state of effortless awareness, the state of consciousness  beyond waking and sleeping and dreaming.

There are 5 Main Outcomes in the tradition I teach from and they are healing, transformation, Cognition, Sankalpa and Spiritual Awakening.

The Steps of Yoga Nidra are just that, they are steps, they are not the state of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is when, that sweet moment, you are not the body, not the breath, not mind, you are something BEYOND that. You are awareness itself.

So, The steps that we take during the practice seek to do the following:

*Calming the lower Mind or Manas, internalising our attention.
*Dissolving the Ahumkara ( that feeling that WE are Unique, our EGO)
*Observing and neutralise the Chitta, the storehouse of our memories, the reference point from which we understand our life.
*To then Sharpen out Buddhi, our more discerning Higher Mind we we can see ourselves more clearly, decide and determine what we will do & at a certain point in Yoga Nidra, the Buddha gives you over to your Purusha//Atman ( your should/source wisdom)

Evening Restorative Session

Suggested time 4 or 5pm, OR Before Bed || You can choose to practice the full 45 Min Session OR do A shorter 15 Mins Restorative Session.

Shorter Session: follow the Tutorial Video and do 1 or 3 of the Postures I give you. If you choose One posture for 15 mins, choose Savasana. Legs up Wall Or Balasana for 5-8 Mins.  Or all 3 postures, each for 5 Mins.

Below is a nice Restorative Play List to Sync Up and play whilst you're restoring.

Mudra and Meditation

If you only have time for 5-8 Mins in the morning, then do the following.

Either the Prana Vayu Meditation OR the Ganesha Mudra/Mantra ( especially good if you're feeling stuck and need some trust in your path forward )

1. Set timer for 5 Mins.
2. Sit tall and spine easeful.
3. Take APANA Audra, tip of index and middle fingers touch thumb.
4. Inhale for 4, exhale for 1 count longer and keep doing this until perhaps you can exhale for double the inhale.
5. Feel downward current of energy  every exhale releasing all the way down spine, out your base .

Mantras
We're invoking to begin and also for this day, both Shiva and Ganesha.

Shiva Mantra
Shiva Shiva Shiva Shambo x 2
Maha Devi Shambo x 2
Repeat Above
